Quick Cards

 Lately, I really like small cards. They're quick, and they're great for gifts for showers, weddings, things where you don't want to write a whole lot, or need something quick.  These cards are all 3x3 and take just a couple of minutes to make.

Valentine Cards

I haven't ever been really into Valentine's Day. I have a few decorations, but was into it as a kid, but grew out of it fast. Not because my card boxes never won prizes in class, but the commercialization of it all. The day where you have to say I love you, when if you have someone to say it to, you really want to say it every day. And where you're supposed to buy roses and get a fancy dinner reservation. It's always meant more to me to do it on a random day, not on FEBRUARY 14th because you have to and that's what you do. Anyway, I'm shifting, just a little, but back into the fun part for my kids. I bought clearance Valentines for the kids (I have for years, you can buy them now, for 2.50, or in a month for 25 cents) and actually want to make some Valentine cards.  So here's a couple.

 This is using a simple watercolor technique. After coloring the cakes in w/ markers. Take a damp paint brush and lightly touch the pictures to give a fancier feel.

I like the non traditional colors here. Just something elegant.

Simple Gift

 For a quick and simple gift, I made personalized cards. The person I was giving them too likes things simple, but has a great love for nature.

For this card, it took me about 10 minutes to make sixteen cards. I used a grass stamp (SU's Inspired by Nature), and two colors of green (Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive). Then a small letters to make them personal. In this case I used her initials.  It's a great gift that can be used for multiple purposes, as a thank you card, a note to someone or any kind of card that she's really need.

Halloween Cards

In my excitement for Halloween, I've been having fun with cards. (I'm also teaching a card class locally on the 9th, so prepping for that!)  These are what I came up with. I am loving doing small note cards right now, a 3x3.  And they're perfect for little notes to go with little gifts. Especially for Halloween. We don't send out hundreds of Halloween cards to beloved friends and family do we? But we might give a little note w/ a gift to a friend, child or for the gals we visit teach.*

*as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the sisters will visit each other monthly for spiritual lessons, and to also help each other when in need.

Card

With my card making lately, I can't seem to get away from green and purple.  This is purple is 'Rich Razzleberry' I love the color, but It's been tricky for me to get it to work, but I love it here!
