Neglectful

I've been so busy pumping out crafts for my Christmas gifts! I've had a small budget, but I'm stretching it quite far with home made gifts that I'm quite proud about. I'm also going to open an etsy shop (more details to come) but this is a sneak peak of what I've been up to!

(sorry it's an awful pictures, I just set it on my leg and took a quick snap!)

Lots going on

One of my projects using fabric, ribbon, tulle, buttons, clips, and marbles!

Wow, a lot has been going on! I've been working on a handful of projects and decided to do more for Christmas gifts, so I've got a lot to do! I've been sewing, stamping, mod-podging, hot glue-ing and so much more. I've have several projects planned to work on with Ashton too! Including a fun and easy Pipe cleaner snowflake ornaments! Stay tuned for some pictures of what I've been up to!

Last MInutes Halloween Treats

I did this recipes from Rhodes' Rolls last week for our Halloween Party. It was fun, they tasted great (so I was told). A few years ago I did a similar idea from Martha Stewart. That one was making pretzels from scratch, I definitly prefer the Rhodes way!

Fill your treat table with some ghoulish fingers, witch fingers topped with Parmesan cheese and garlic salt.

Prep Time: 15 min (not including thaw time)

Bake Time: 15 min

Ingredients

12 Rhodes™ Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold
1/4 cup melted butter
Parmesan cheese
garlic salt
egg yolks, beaten
food coloring
small paintbrush

Instructions

Roll each roll into a 7-9 inch pointed rope. Define finger nail on pointed end and knuckles and lines along the finger with a sharp knife. Place on a sprayed baking sheet and pinch finger thinner on both sides of knuckle. Brush finger with butter avoiding fingernail. Sprinkle cheese and garlic salt on finger but not on nail. Make nail color by combining egg yolk and food coloring to achieve desired color. Paint nail with small paintbrush. Bake at 350°F 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned.

LOVE this Idea!

Check out this post, my little boy would love these!

I'm speechless. I can't even believe that there is something this large being given away.
For free.

You're all going to love this. Oh, how I wish I could enter.

(I need to let every last friend and family member know about this.......and somehow brainwash them into thinking that they should give it to me if they win. Hahaha... :))

Good grief.....I could put this to some good use.

Do you see what this is? It's a Workbox from The Original Scrapbox. Do you have crafting clutter everywhere? (I admit.....I do. And it makes me crazy.) This amazing workbox organizes your supplies, hides it all for you, and then rolls away on wheels if you need it to. This workbox is valued at $1295.00 but you have a chance to win one for free. Wow. I'm speechless. (And you get to pick your own color and style. Eeeee!)

But there's more. You can enter to win this workbox here and at 9 other participating blogs listed below. And on October 10th, each of us (10 blogs total) will select a winner who will win their choice of:

A ScrapMaBob, the perfect little addition to any work table. Attaches to the edge and holds your drink and all of the trash/debris that you acquire while crafting.

OR

A Ribbon Box, which is that absolute perfect place to store all of your messy ribbon. Ahhh....finally.

And then all of those 10 winners (one each from all 10 blogs) will be entered into the final drawing, where one of the 10 will be selected to win the Workbox on October 12th (even though they all just won their choice of a ScrapMaBob or a Ribbon Box).

Got it? Wow.

So if you're a crafter, a seamstress, a scrapper, a quilter, or a hobbyist of any kind........you are going to fall in love with the Workbox. So nice and neat........and darn beautiful all hidden away.

Cards

This is a simple card I made a stack of for my mom. I've used this layout many times for this stamp set, and love doing the black white and color. It gives it a classic look!

The circles use the 1 3/8" punch, and 1" punch. I love the funky touch it gives.

So today upon looking at my blog I have almost 12000 hits?? The other day it was just at 1250, weird.... But If all of a sudden I have a fan base that likes looking at my stuff, great, but 11000 hits in a week.....

My New Watch

Thanks to my good friend Sally and her mom, I have a new watch. Sally's mom has tons of beads and jewelry supplies. So we'll get together for a girls night out and go to town! I reworked this watch for a long time to make it just right and I love it! I also learned how to use clamps and tie off the ends with the clamp and wire. I can't wait until we can do this again. I have no supplies myself and it would be a huge investment right now to get set up. I'll stick with stamping!

Bee Card

Sorry the picture is bad. It's really black not gray! It looks so much better in person! I added yellow glitter to the bee for some added interest. I like how it turned out.

Willow Branch Project

I made this back in May and June before we moved. At our Murray apartment, we had tons of willow trees. There are always branches on the ground. I've always wanted to do something with them, but it took awhile to figure out what. Then for mother's day I got some neat plates that were from Target, but purchased at Ross. And I needed a centerpiece to match. I gathered the willow branches, spray painted them with a matte black (1$ at Walmart), and I bought the vase last year at a garage sale for 50 cents. Then I bought the Black marbles and white mix for 1.99 each at Robert's. A very cheap and fun arrangement. It's the only decor we have at our current place because I didn't want to pack it up and worry about the willow branches breaking. So much fun!

A Card!

The picture isn't the best, but I made a card last week! Wahoo! The first in months!
This is using SU's Fifth Avenue Floral set, and the colors are Pixie Pink and Basic Black. The words are a tiny rub on, I didn't have time to emboss something on, which would have looked much better. But I had fun!!

Fun with Photography

I've had some fun taking 'pretty' pictures lately. I'm hoping to take a SLCC class this fall on photography. These were taking with our basic Power Shot Digital camera, but we do have a very nice film one. I only know how to use the basic functions. I took many pictures of the cemetery by our house, I'll post those once I get them developed.

5.26.2009

Coming Soon . . .

I'm working on changing this a bit to showcase my crafting hobbies as well as my stamping projects. I haven't quite gotten back on track with my scrapbooking, and crafting. I'm enjoying and still adjusting to life with two little children. So check back in a week!

Long time no Bloggin'

Hello there. It has been so long since I've posted last. I was able to get in a great groove and catch up on a lot of scrapbooking, I got a new set from the new catalog that I love (Petal Pizazz), but now the last 6 weeks my hands are too numb to do anything! Typing and writing have become difficult. I'm having my baby in 6 days! So hopefully in another few weeks I can have a little time to create again. So check back in a month and I'll show you what I've been up to.
