Too cute!

My mom found these adorable cupcakes at Tai Pan Trading! They are so cute! They are ceramic, and the tops come off. I have no idea what their practical function is, but they are just so much fun!  I love seeing all the fun things like this that my mom get!

Card

With my card making lately, I can't seem to get away from green and purple.  This is purple is 'Rich Razzleberry' I love the color, but It's been tricky for me to get it to work, but I love it here!

Let It Snow!

This was a Christmas gift for my mom. I prefer to frame the embroidery as opposed to a pillow.  Maybe because I like to give the frames a make over! I used a font and traced my image onto muslin. I have so  many embroidery projects I haven't shared. I was making them for each of my cousin's children, then it became a little daunting, so I haven't done any for almost 3 years now, and would have 6 to do! I know only six, but I don't have enough follow through I guess. One day I will do them, but in light of one of my resolutions, I need to finish one project before I start the next, and I have 3 projects I'm in the middle of that I started the new year with! So maybe I can make that a goal for this year, is to get caught up on those, but in due time of course!

Happy Heart Cards

I have never been a fan of Valentines Day, so I have no Valentine stamps, but I do have this phrase from an old 'Sale-a-bration' set, and it's perfect, because it's versatile, and not limited to February 14th. But I am teaching a card class in a week, so I'm figuring out what I want to teach. I totally cased this idea, but don't remember what  blog, however I simplified it. It's an easy one to use, and I've been playing around with lots of different striped paper, and punching out hearts.

I think I like this one even better because the colors are just like the little conversation hearts. But the paper is so old that I wouldn't be able to find it for us to make more for the class. It was fun to make though. Enjoy!

"Homemade art"

I wasn't sure as to how to title this blog. My husband is an artist, and we're not fans of mass produced pre-printed 'art' (such as a cheesy print found at Wal-mart). But it is still fun for me to be crafty and make little things like this.  The inside is 6"x6", so nice and small. I found the frame years ago at either a garage sale or DI. I love the blue and the worn edges, I didn't want to paint it and repeat the technique. So I made the image blue. It is with SU's Inspired by Nature stamp set. This was a Christmas gift to my mom. It was fun to do.

Mini Occasion Catalog

I'm going to try to post more, but the holidays I just got soo busy! I have to take pictures still of all the Christmas gifts I made!

In the meantime, the mini occasions catalog is out! To see it, go to Stampin' Up! here.

I am in LOVE with a lot of things, but my top few are:
1. Sweet Pea Stitched Felt- they are the cutest felt flowers with stitches accenting them! 2.Vintage Vogue stamp set, just too cute, and I can see so many possibilities all ready! 3. Extra Large Two-step Bird punch -- again, so many possibilities! I can't wait to get any or all of these! However with Sale-a-bration around the corner, I'm waiting to place my order. (Sale-a-bration usually happens in the middle/end of February-not being a demo anymore I don't know the exact dates-when you order 50$ of product you get a free set or other goodies from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Best deal of the year I think!)

Stay tuned for stamped art, embroidery, necklaces and I need to finish my design board for applying to school, I share the finished product with that too.

Happy New Years!
